Walter Whitman (n. 31 mai 1819 - d. 26 martie 1892) a fost un poet, eseist, jurnalist și umanist american. Considerat „cel mai mare poet american” de către mulți pe când trecuseră doar patru ani de la moartea sa, Whitman este văzut ca primul poet urban. El a fost unul dintre reprezentanții tranziției de la transcendentalism la realism, opera sa arătându-se influențată de ambele curente. Opera sa a fost tradusă în mai mult de douăzeci și cinci de limbi străine. Walt Whitman este unul din cei mai influenți și controversați poeți din canonul american. Né le 22 novembre 1869 à Paris, André Gide est le fils unique de Paul Gide, professeur de droit, et de Juliette Rondeaux, riche bourgeoise d\'origine normande. «Né à Paris, d’un père uzétien et d’une mère normande, où voulez-vous, monsieur Barrès, que je m’enracine? Achille Chavée

Achille Chavée, né à Charleroi, (Belgique) le 6 juin 1906 et mort à La Hestre le 4 décembre 1969 était un poète belge de langue française. Il fut une figure du surréalisme hennuyer et wallon. Issu d'une famille catholique installée en 1922 à La Louvière, Achille Chavée entame des études de droit à Bruxelles (1925) puis s'inscrit en 1930 au barreau de Mons. Il s'engage en 1927 dans l'action politique et fonde avec Walter Thibaut l'Union fédéraliste wallonne qui revendique l'autonomie culturelle et politique de la Wallonie. Il participe à la création de la revue La Bataille wallonne qui paraît en 1929. Naim Araidi

Naim Araidi was born in 1950, in the Druze village of Marrar in the Galilee. He went to Hebrew school in Haifa, and continued to a PhD in Hebrew Literature. He teaches in Haifa and has published numerous books of poetry and prose both Arabic and Hebrew. He has been awarded the Prime Minister's Award; The Creativity Prize for Arabic Literature; and an honorary PhD from the World Academy for Arts and Culture. Emilia Dina, was born in 1977 in Slatina, a small town, capital, Olt country, southern Romania. The town of Slatina is mentioned for the first time in an official document issued by Vladislav I Vlaicu on January 20th, 1386. The name's origin is Slavic "Slam-tina", which means "salted land" or "salty water", although a small minority promote a politicized misconception that the term originates in the Latin "Salatina". In this city is located one of the biggest factories producing Aluminum in southeastern Europe ("ALRO").
