I’m listening to the opening frost
all long awaited breathes
torpidly float
in the filmy space between us
north wind showers crystallized chills
I still hope thee
slowly
feathering one wish within one hundred
tacky nods
we grow thinner
hastily I surrender to the sleep
before the big freeze
