Angel of my dreams

To be honest with you
I am different than you think
Thinking different, it is true
True enough to make me sink.
What am I into your world?
Am I somebody to find?
Am I a boy to a girl,
Or the eye-light to a blind?
I should tell you from the start
But this word I can not find
Tears my whole being apart
Knowing… us, is just inside my mind.
Many dreams in too short time
And the feelings I can’t show
They are mine, yes, only mine
And you, you will never know.
If you knew, what would you do?
The impossible, I doubt
Could you turn to white the blue
That is inside me, and out?
I can’t have you – never will;
I will never be a whole.
To forget you, I must kill
My whole world, my life, my soul.
If you will not come tomorrow
If tomorrow comes without you
I will die and die of sorrow
I will die inside my blue.
I know that you think I’m better
Than they think I am. Oh, why
Can’t we be like that together?
Why won’t you believe my lie?
That I lie, that true it is:
What I live is all a lie
But what brings me on my knees
Is the one-word question: “why?”.
I once thought I could reach you there
But I now know you’re way too far
Too far for me to even dare
To watch the beauty of your star.
I once believed I could be true
As true as all my lies to you
And all the lies I never told
Are here for me, to keep me cold.
You’re the angel of my dreams
But you’re locked inside them, sleep…
I can’t get you out… it seems
I have lost you way too deep.
If you could escape my dreams
I’d ask you to be my life
And inside my soul that screams
You’d pull out that painful knife.
You are not here and I cry
Cause you’ll never be with me
In my dreams, where you are mine
I am yours and we are free
Come inside and leave me out...
Out of tears and out of pain.
I need you like the air
That I breath in my despair.
Ah, yes, I want to catch you.
To breath you, drink you, have you near
Your song will always break right through
My head. That’s what I wish to hear.
But I can’t catch you…
