William Shakespeare (n. 23 aprilie 1564- d. 23 aprilie 1616) a fost un dramaturg, poet și creator de sonete englez, care este considerat a fi cel mai mare scriitor al literaturii de limba engleză. Blake proclaimed the supremacy of the imagination over the rationalism and materialism of the 18th- century.
