Paulo Coelho was born in 1947 into a middle-class family, the son of Pedro, an engineer, and Lygia, a housewife. At seven, he entered the Jesuit school of San Ignacio in Rio de Janeiro. Paulo came to detest the obligatory nature of religious practice. However, although he hated praying and going to mass, there were compensations. I got all the necessary childhood diseases and diplomas in order to further attend and graduate The Faculty of Letters, History and Theology (University of the West Timisoara) and become a teacher. I haven't published anything. Poetry is a way of exercising both the brain and the heart, just my way of keeping fit :) I love spring, chocolate, dogs, stones, children, nature, kind hearts, Dire Straits, Chris Rea and many other things. Raymond Carver
The American short story writer and poet Raymond Carver was born in Clatskanie, Oregon, on May 25, 1938, and lived in Port Angeles, Washington during his last ten, sober years until his death from cancer on August 2, 1988. He was a Guggenheim Fellow in 1979 and was twice awarded grants from the National Endowment for the Arts. In 1983 Carver received the prestigious Mildred and Harold Strauss Living Award which gave him $35,000 per year tax free and required that he give up any employment other than writing, and in 1985 Poetry magazine\'s Levinson Prize. In 1988 he was elected to the American Academy and Institute of Arts and Letters and was awarded an honorary Doctorate of Letters from the University of Hartford. Écrivain haïtien né le 29 août 1926 à Jacmel (Haïti). Ralph Waldo Emerson (n. 25 mai 1803–d. 27 aprilie 1882) a fost un poet și eseist american, liderul mișcării transcendentaliste de la începutul secolului al XIX-lea. Ralph Waldo Emerson s-a născut în Boston, ca fiul reverendului William Emerson, un pastor unitarian provenind dintr-o familie de lungă tradiție pastorală.
