Hans Christian Andersen (n. 2 aprilie 1805, Odense, Danemarca - d. 4 august 1875, Copenhaga) a fost scriitor și poet danez, celebru pentru basmele sale. Printre cele mai cunoscute povești ale sale se numără „Crăiasa zăpezilor”, „Mica sirenă”, „Hainele cele noi ale împăratului” și „Rățușca cea urâtă”. În timpul vieții Andersen a fost celebrat de regalitate și aclamat pentru că a adus bucurie copiilor din întreaga Europă. Basmele sale au fost traduse în peste o sută de limbi și continuă să fie publicate în milioane de exemplare în întreaga lume. Cristina Chirea

Sunt Cristina Chirea. Am deschis ochii pe 24 iulie, in 1987. Am absolvit cursurile scolii "Jose Marti nr 56" din Bucuresti, iar in prezent sunt eleva la Colegiul National "Spiru Haret". Scriu versuri, e adevarat, de asta ma si aflu aici pentru a le impartasi si pentru a le spori valoarea, pentru ca tinandu-le doar pentru mine, consider ca oarecum...le pierd. N-as putea trai fara muzica, ciocolata sarcasm si autoironie. Si cum profit de toate acestea, traiesc din plin.

Philip Larkin

Philip Arthur Larkin, CH, CBE, FRSL (9 August 1922 – 2 December 1985) is commonly regarded as one of the greatest English poets of the latter half of the twentieth century. He was also a novelist and a jazz critic. He spent almost all of his working life as a university librarian. He first came to prominence with the publication in 1955 of his second collection of poems, The Less Deceived, which was followed by The Whitsun Weddings in 1964 and High Windows in 1974. He was offered the Poet Laureateship following the death of John Betjeman in 1984, but he declined the honour. Larkin was born in the city of Coventry. Li Po

Li Po was born in central Asia. After his father moved the family back into China in 705, he started his poetic compositions. With mountains near his house, he found adventure and became a skilled swordsman and led a life of a knight-errant when he was older. Po traveled and married a daughter of a retired prime minister in 727, but soon went back to traveling the regions and neighboring countries around him. His most exciting travels were to the capital Ch’ang-an where he was presented to the emperor Hsuan-tsung and was showered with extravagant gifts. He was then appointed as a member of the Hanlin Academy and was lionized by fellow scholar-officials. The next travel he experienced was in 744.
