when you can’t fall deeper than your own rumble
when you don’t get further than the height
of your own head.
they pass by with mugs in their tapers
fears flourished in pairs
the hands already crossed on their chests.
in order to believe you touch their holograms’ hem.
its lissome skin fuller than a coffin’s bottom
startles you.
