were filling their souls’ pockets ears
envies duties therefore errors.
the loneliest one was screaming
for the photographer to rush in
to grab everyone’s left eye
and fix the matter for all time’s sake.
how long does it take to melt down
the air beneath the need of finding out
which one is squinting and for whom
the fuss was pretending to climb over them?
