I fly away without my fears,
But one: to taste your bitter tears,
Never knowing how it feels
To mourn the dead and what death means.
I fly away to our star
Leaving you my earthly scar
And a book without a name,
Hoping you’ll remain the same.
Take those pages, read my life,
Browse it to the final line,
Wipe the dust that fell in time,
Inlay a name and fake a smile.
“Don’t forget” to light a candle
For every day we started…
“Don’t forget” to make a wish
For every star we’ve counted…
