Mediu

These days our village sounds to me

like a giant ocean shell

uncorked

between ventricles of hippocampi,

and foaming with chilled Korbel.

Is this a fin de siècle or what ?

An ex-princess ovulated a kumquat –

the royal palms in Beverly Hills

felt no longer at ease,

and dropped their crown on sidewalks;

prime news blamed a mysterious disease.

Not only that –

I spy

cute pompom chips from Intel

in a kalalau valley bonsai.
