Dying for autumn

So much rain trying
To keep the leaves green
Forgetting that gold is more precious
Hearts dancing in circles
Clouds falling from no sky
No people no joy no birds no wings
I tried reaching you
Last proof of a dead summer
Don’t just stand there laughing
Give us the sun back you witch
It still is funny for you
We’ll die you don’t care
They’ll kill that tree in remembrance
Of hurt dolphins running back into the sea
When did you leave?
It’s still raining
But the leaves are already gone
They left to a better place
No dance no hearts
There’s no sky to put the clouds back
People picking up what’s left from what
it used to be called
sun.
