MRMaurice Rollinat
Maurice Rollinat (December 29, 1846 in Châteauroux, France – October 26, 1903 in Ivry-sur-Seine) was a French poet. His father represented Indre in the National Assembly of 1848, and was a friend of George Sand, whose influence is very marked in young Rollinat's first volume, Dans les brandes (1877), and to whom it was dedicated. After its publication, he abandoned realism and worked in a very different manner. He joined a literary circle that called themselves Les Hydropathes, founded by Émile Goudeau, an anti-clerical group with ties to the decadent literary movement. Under their influence wrote the poems that made his reputation. In Les Névroses, with the sub-title Les Âmes, Les Luxures, Les Refuges, Les Spectres, Les Ténèbres, he showed himself as a disciple of Charles Baudelaire. He constantly returns in these poems to the physical horrors of death, and is obsessed by unpleasant images. Don Íñigo López de Mendoza y de la Vega, Marquis of Santillana (August 19, 1398 - March 25, 1458) was a Castilian poet who held an important position in society and Literature during the reign of John II of Castile. He was born at Carrión de los Condes in Old Castile to a noble family which figured prominently in the arts. His grandfather, Pedro González de Mendoza, and his father, Diego Hurtado de Mendoza Admiral of Castile, were both poets with close ties to the great literary figures of the time: Chancellor Lopez de Ayala, Fernán Pérez de Guzmán and Gomez Manrique. His mother, Doña Leonor de la Vega, was a wealthy heiress belonging to the House of de la Vega. Lopez de Mendoza's father died when he was five years old, which brought his family into financial difficulties. Tirso de Molina
Nació en Madrid en el seno de una familia humilde. Cursó estudios de Humanidades e ingresa, en 1600, en el convento de la Merced, para ser ordenado un año más tarde en Guadalajara. Durante la primera década del XVII realiza estudios universitarios de Artes, Teología y Sagrada Escritura. Fue discípulo de Lope de Vega. Residió en conventos de Guadalajara, Toledo, Soria y Segovia. Se trasladó a Madrid y Toledo, y viajó a Santo Domingo. A su vuelta se traslada a Sevilla, En donde publicaria la primera parte de sus comedias. Escribió textos religiosos y una historia de su orden. Su estilo en la comedia es claro y libre de afectación. En 1632 es confinado en el convento de Cuenca, privándosele de su cargo de cronista. En 1635 se publicaron de la segunda a la quinta parte de sus obras. La más conocida es El burlador de Sevilla .
