Active on London jazz-poetry scene early \'60s, then worked with Cream, writing lyrics for hits \'Sunshine Of Your Love\', \'White Room\', \'I Feel Free\', \'Politician\' etc which he said would pay the rent for the rest of his life. After Cream split \'68 he continued to work with Jack Bruce (see his entry), also his own Jazz Poetry \'66, A Meal You Can Shake Hands With In The Dark \'69 (as Pete Brown and His Battered Ornaments, Chris Spedding on guitar), Things May Come And Things May Go, But The Art School Dance Goes On Forever \'72, and Thousands On A Raft \'70 (as Pete Brown and Piblokto, with Jim Mullen). He worked with other groups; an album of demos by Back To The Front was later issued. He co-led Bond and Brown with Graham Bond \'72 (see Bond\'s entry); was part-time A&R and producer for Deram \'73--5; well-received poetry album The Not Forgotten Association \'73 had backing incl. Robert Sheckley, born in 1928, grew up in New Jersey and served in Korea before selling his first story in 1951. A master of satire and irony whose work has been called \"galactic humor,\" Sheckley was one of the first to portray gadgets that think for humans, such as intelligent refrigerators. Among his classic stories are \"Shape\", \"Specialist\", \"Seventh Victim\", and \"Warm\" (all 1953), \"The Prize of Peril\" (1958), \"The Store of the Worlds\" (1959), \"The People Trap\" (1968), and \"Can You Feel Anything When I Do This?\" (1969); \"Shall We Have a Little Talk?\" (1965) and \"What Is Life?\" (1976) were Nebula and World Fantasy award nominees respectively. Biographical (non-literary) How do you pronounce \"Isaac Asimov\"? \"EYE\'zik AA\'zi-mov\". The name is spelled with an \"s\" and not a \"z\" because Asimov\'s father didn\'t understand the English alphabet clearly when the family moved to the U.S. in 1923. (In Russian, the spelling was the Cyrillic equivalent of Azimov, and in Yiddish, the Hebrew letters were aleph-zayin-yod-mem-aleph-vav-vav.) Romancier, eseist, dramaturg si fondator al unei noi scoli de idei care va fi cunoscuta ca Existentialism Jean-Paul Sartre s-a nascut in Paris la data de 21 iunie 1905. Dupa ce a absolvit Scoala Normala Superioara in 1929 cu doctoratul in filozofie, a servit Armatei Franceze intre anii 1929-1931. Atunci a servit ca invatator pentru cativa ani la Le Havre, Lyon si Paris.
