Jelaluddin Rumi was born in the Eastern part of the Ancient Persian Empire near Balkh (presently Afghanistan), on September 30, 1207. His first name literally means Majesty of Religion, Jalal means majesty and din means religion. Because of the threat of Mongol invasion in Persia his family fled, finally settling in Konya, Turkey. He passed away, on December 17, 1273. His shrine is in Konya. As a genius theologian, a brilliant scholar, and a pillar of Islam, he followed in his father place until his spiritual friend and teacher, Shams of Tabriz appeared in his life. Rumi underwent a spiritual transformation in 1244 after meeting Shams. With appearance of Shams, Rumi became reborn and soon started his marvelous work \"Masnavi,\" (Mathnawi) consisting of 24,000 verses at age 38. Luc de Clapiers Vauvenargues
1715 6 august Luc de Clapiers, marchiz de Vauvenargues,s-a nascut la Aix-en-Provence (Franta). Nu se cunosc amanuntele despre anii copilariei celui care avea sa ajunga unul dintre marii moralisti. 1720 In Aix izbucneste o cumplita epidemie de ciuma. Primar al orasului era tatal lui Vauvenargues, Josep de Clapiers. Molima a bantuit aproape un an si a facut peste sapte mii de victime; datorita darzeniei, curajului si abnegatiei primarului, a fost insa curmata, iar jafurile care au terorizat alte tinuturi nu s-au putut dezlantui la Aix. Pentru aceste merite, tatal lui Luc avea sa primeasca, in 1722, o pensie de 3000 de livre si titlul de marchiz. 1731 Firav, cu o sanatate subreda, blajin si excesiv de sfios, tanarul Luc trebuie sa fi studiat, o vreme, la colegiul Royal-Bourbon, tinut de iezuiti; dar se pare ca prin 1731 a fost nevoit intrerupa studiile, ramanand sa le completeze acasa, singur, sau cu ajutorul vreunui profesor particular. Am avut o bratara de aur extraordinara - maistru energetician - dar si un hobby : literatura scrisa in fel si chip, pornind de la poezie si mergand pe traseul schitei, piesei de teatru, romanului. Fiind autodidact si avand serviciu permanent pana la pensie nu am acumulat destula practica din cenaclurile pe care le-am frecventat in Bucuresti si in Iasi. Am participat la un concurs de proza scurta si am fost apreciata cu mentiune. Am editat neinspirata un roman la o editura care, prin contract trebuia sa-l promoveze dar nu a facut-o astfel ca raman o anonima chiar si pentru cei care ma cunosc din moment ce nu au aflat de nicaieri despe aparitia in librarii a romanului meu. Nu stiu daca e bun pentru ca nu a fost lecturat de persoane competente. Totusi am curajul sa-l prezint: Si pestii vorbesc in somn, autor Galina Mihoc Nedelcu. M-am gandit sa mentionez si numele de la parinti in speranta recunoasterii mai usor in cazul ca cineva dintre cunoscutii vechi ma vor descoperi. Nu stiu daca...
