Anne Sexton was born Anne Gray Harvey in Newton, Massachusetts to Mary Gray Staples and Ralph Harvey. She spent most of her childhood in Boston. In 1945 she enrolled at Rogers Hall boarding school, Lowell, Massachusetts, later spending a year at Garland School. For a time she modeled for Boston`s Hart Agency. On August 16, 1948, she married Alfred Sexton and they remained together until 1973. She had two children named Linda Gray and Joyce Ladd. Karin Boye s-a născut pe 26 Octombrie 1900, în orașul Suedez Göteborg. Ea a început să scrie și sã participe la dezbateri culturale chiar din vremea studenției, la început din punct de vedere religios, răzvrătindu-se pe atunci împotriva politicii conservatoare culturale. Ludwig Schwarz *22.8.1925, Dolatz/Banat/Rumänien; + 3.7.1981, Bukarest/Rumänien Am 22. August 1925 in der Banater Gemeinde Dolatz geboren, blieb Ludwig Schwarz die Biografie vieler seiner Landsleute nicht erspart. Kriegs- und Bărăganerfahrungen haben auch sein Leben geprägt. In den 1950ger Jahren erlernte er den Beruf eines Baufachmannes. Im Bauwesen allein verdiente er aber nicht sein tägliches Brot. In einer Schwarz-Retrospektive schreibt der Journalist Luzian Geier in der BANATER POST/München vom 20. September 1995 dazu: „Zum Studium wurde er nicht zugelassen, selbst als Hilfslehrer abgelehnt; als Baumeister arbeitete er über viele Jahre als unqualifizierter Land- und Gelegenheitsarbeiter, war Dorfmusikant und Gemeindeschreiber.“ Die kommunistischen Behörden in Rumänien haben den seit 1956 in Neupetsch/Peciu Nou beheimateten Ludwig Schwarz zeitlebens schikaniert. Thomas Stearns Eliot, OM (26 September 1888–4 January 1965), was a poet, playwright and literary critic. He received the Nobel Prize in Literature in 1948.
