Your web has caught too many for whom death,
Before they found such creature to admire,
Before you knit them in arachnoid desire,
Seemed just as light and volatile as breath.
You know not innocence and yet you know not guilt,
And sin you make so marvelous, you\'re undisputed queen
Of all the traps love sets and hides within
The labytinths it weaves of crimson quilt.
One pair of eyes that once belonged to me
Now hang with others on the stirring of your dress
And willingly become imprisoned in your land-locked sea.
To me your game is like a game of chess,
One that I cannot hope to win, but lo! I try;
As you draw nearer to your prey tonight, I\'ll pray you die.
