Anvari (1126–1189), full name Awhad ad-Din 'Ali ibn Mohammad Khavarani or Awhad ad-Din 'Ali ibn Mahmud was one of the greatest Persian poets. He was born in Abivard of (now in Turkmenistan) and died in Khurasanian Balkh, now in Afghanistan, and studied science and literature at the collegiate institute in Tun (now Firdaus, Iran), becoming a famous astronomer as well as a poet. Anvari's poems were collected in a Deewan, and contains panegyrics, eulogies, satire, and others. His elegy "Tears of Khorasan", translated into English in 1789, is considered to be one of the most beautiful poems in Persian literature. The Cambridge History of Iran calls Anvari "one of the greatest figures in Persian literature". Despite their beauty, his poems often required much help with interpretation, as they were often complex and difficult to understand. Tizenkét éves korától verselt, tizenhat évesen (1921) megjelentette elsõ, Ady Endre hatása alatt álló verseskönyvét, „Az Élet tavaszán”-t. 1922–1927 között Budapesten jogot végzett. Ügyvédjelölt, könyvtáros volt. Verseiben a kor lírai formanyelvének szinte minden lehetõségét kipróbálta. A „Papírember” (1928) címû második verseskönyvét, melynek függelékében jelentek meg vizuális versei, értetlen kritika fogadta. Másfél évre Debrecenbe költözött, majd 1930-ban Párizsba utazott. Súlyos egzisztenciális gondokkal, utóbb betegséggel is küzdött. 1933-ban a Cercle François Villon tagjaként ismeretséget kötött néhány avantgárd mûvésszel. 1936-ban Párizsban – a többi között Vaszilij Kandinszkij és Hans Arp aláírásával – kiadta a „Dimenzionista Manifesztum”-ot, amelynek megjelenése után néhány nappal hazatért gyógyíttatni magát. Kondor Béla (Pestlõrinc, 1931. február 17. – Budapest, 1972. december 12.) kétszeres Munkácsy-díjas magyar festõmûvész, grafikus, költõ. A 20. század második fele magyar mûvészeti életének egyik legjelentõsebb, ugyanakkor – fõleg a korszak nyomása alatt – tragikus sorsú szereplõje volt. Sokoldalú személyiségként a grafika és a festészet mellett verset és prózát is írt, a fényképezésben új utakat keresett, orgonán is játszott. Harmadéves koráig a festõ szakra, majd miután harmadéves korában „alapvetõ szakmai-szemléletbeli ellentétek” miatt eltanácsolták, grafikatanárai kiállásának köszönhetõen a grafika szakra. Barcsay Jenõ, Kmetty János és Koffán Károly tanítványa volt. A festõ szakon nem sok újat tanult, sajátos stilisztikai eszközeinek szinte a fõiskola kezdetétõl birtokában volt. Diplomamunkáját, melyet 1956 nyarán védett meg, a vizsgabizottság által anakronisztikusnak tartott Jelenetek Dózsa György idejébõl címû hétrészes rézkarcsorozata volt. Dsida Jenõ (Szatmárnémeti, 1907. május 17. – Kolozsvár, 1938. június 7.) erdélyi magyar költõ. Dsida Jenõ 1907-ben született Szatmárnémetiben, apja Dsida Aladár az osztrák-magyar közös hadsereg mérnökkari tisztje volt. Anyja Csengeri Tóth Margit, aki Beregszászon élt. Itt ismerkedtek össze és szerettek egymásba, házasságkötésüknek regényes története van. Dsida Jenõ gyermekkorát beárnyékolta az elsõ világháború. Apja orosz hadifogságba került, nagybátyja, akitõl keresztnevét kapta, elesett a galíciai harcmezõn. Családja tönkrement, apjának polgári foglalkozást kellett keresnie, így lett az Erdélyi Római Katolikus Státus tisztviselõje. Dsida Jenõ Budapesten, Beregszászon és Szatmárnémetiben végezte tanulmányait. Dsida Jenõ fiatalkori fényképe Kora ifjúságától kezdve költõnek készült.
