C\'est le 27 octobre 1956 à Jaffa (Israël) que naît Danielle Mashiah de son vrai nom, en 1958 ses parents s\'installent en France dans la région parisienne. C\'est donc en France que Danielle grandit avec sa soeur Cécile, en 1960 son père quitte le foyer le divorce est prononcé, il part vivre aux Etats- Unis. Danielle déclara en 1981 : La chanson : Pourquoi tu m\'as abandonnée ? parle de ce déchirement Au début des années 70 Danielle intègre un groupe folk \"Les Grattons Labeur\" ils tournent dans la région d\'Orléans, parallèlement Danielle suit des cours d\'histoire à la faculté d\'Orléans. En 1977 le groupe sort un disque auto produit \"Le bal des sorciers\" diffusé sous le label de Môrice Bénin \"ABA\". Danielle participe aussi en tant de choriste sur certaines chansons de Môrice Bénin et ainsi que sur l\'album de Gaston Couté de Gérard Pierron (les mangeurs d\'terre). Georges Brassens, né à Sète, Hérault, le 22 octobre 1921, mort à Saint-Gély-du-Fesc, Hérault, le 29 octobre 1981, est un poète auteur-compositeur-interprète français. Il mit en musique et interpréta, en s’accompagnant à la guitare, plus d'une centaine de ses poèmes et ceux d’autres poètes dont Paul Fort. Il enregistra de 1952 à 1976, 14 albums. Il reçu le Grand Prix de poésie de l'Académie française en 1967. After earning a reputation as a fine guitarist in school bands like Emil and the Detectives, Richard had his first brush with ‘fame’ as a teenaged founding member of the 1960’s folk-rock pioneers, Fairport Convention. Playing an inventive musical mix of blues and California-style rock, the group was quickly dubbed “the new Jefferson Airplane”. The band’s founding members (Iain Matthews, Judy Dyble, Richard Thompson, Simon Nicol, Ashley Hutchings, Martin Lamble) were discovered playing in London’s Soho district, by American producer Joe Boyd. Boyd secured them a recording contract and their eponymous debut album was released in 1968. Shortly thereafter, the band’s lead vocalist, Judy Dyble, was replaced with the ethereal songstress, Sandy Denny. Suzanne Vega was born July 11, 1959, in Santa Monica, CA; her parents divorced shortly thereafter, and after her mother (a jazz guitarist) remarried to Puerto Rican novelist Ed Vega, the family moved to Manhattan. A shy and quiet child, Suzanne nonetheless learned to take care of herself growing up in the tough neighborhoods of Spanish Harlem. Her parents often sang folk songs around the house, and when she began playing the guitar at age 11, she found herself attracted to the poetry of singer/songwriter music (Dylan, Cohen), and found a refuge from New York\'s chaos in traditional folk (Woody Guthrie, Pete Seeger, Judy Collins, Joan Baez).
