The American short story writer and poet Raymond Carver was born in Clatskanie, Oregon, on May 25, 1938, and lived in Port Angeles, Washington during his last ten, sober years until his death from cancer on August 2, 1988. He was a Guggenheim Fellow in 1979 and was twice awarded grants from the National Endowment for the Arts. In 1983 Carver received the prestigious Mildred and Harold Strauss Living Award which gave him $35,000 per year tax free and required that he give up any employment other than writing, and in 1985 Poetry magazine\'s Levinson Prize. In 1988 he was elected to the American Academy and Institute of Arts and Letters and was awarded an honorary Doctorate of Letters from the University of Hartford. He received a Brandeis Citation for fiction in 1988. His work has been translated into more than twenty languages. At least that\'s the basic biography. Thomas Moore (1779-1852) Irish poet, friend of Lord Byron and P.B. Shelley. Moore\'s writings range from lyric to satire, from prose romance to history and biography. ADAdrian DUMITRU
Inca nu am. Ma multzumesc sa traiesc, din cand in cand. În ce privește ce am apucat să fac până acum, pot să declar (dacă trebuie...) că după executarea perioadei de detenție liceală, am recidivat și am absolvit Facultatea de Drept (Universitatea Româno-Americană) și Facultatea de Istorie (Universitatea București), în ani diferiți (recte, 2001 și 2002). Între 2003 și 2008 am căutat să îmi umplu timpul cu câteva burse: Erasmus (Paris, 2003), EFA (Atena, 2005 și 2006), IFPO (Damasc,2006 și 2007), Getty Library Research Grant (Los Angeles, 2007), MEN (Paris, 2008). În prezent, sunt doctorand al Universității București în cotutelă cu Paris IV - Sorbonne. Cât privește viitorul, ține de contingenții lui Aristotel, unde nu îndrăznesc să îmi bag nasul.

Ionut Caragea
Ionuț Caragea s-a născut pe data de 12 aprilie 1975 la Constanța. Este absolvent al Liceului Industrial Energetic și al Facultății de Educație Fizică și Sport, Universitatea Ovidius Constanța. Din 2003 trăiește în Montréal, Canada și activează ca instructor sportiv în Centrul Gadbois, Club les Géants de Montréal. Este membru al Uniunii Scriitorilor din România, Filiala Iași. Este cofondator și vicepreședinte al Asociației Scriitorilor de Limbă Română din Québec. A fost numit „Poetul născut pe Google”. Folosește și pseudonimul Snowdon King. Ionuț Caragea este poet, autor de aforisme și nuvele de ficțiune. A debutat în anul 2006, la Editura STEF din Iași, cu volumul de versuri Delirium Tremens. VLValery Larbaud
Valery Larbaud naît le 29 août 1881 à Vichy et décède dans la même ville le 2 février 1957. Cet écrivain français est fils unique du pharmacien Nicolas Larbaud (cinquante-neuf ans à la naissance de son fils) et d’Isabelle Bureau des Etivaux (trente-huit ans), il n’a que huit ans lorsque son père décède en 1889. Il sera élevé par sa mère et sa tante. Il obtient sa licence ès-lettres en 1908. Dans la même année, Larbaud publie sans faire connaître sa véritable identité « Poèmes par un riche amateur, ou Œuvres françaises de M. Barnabooth». La fortune familiale (son père était propriétaire de la source Vichy Saint-Yorre) lui assure une vie aisée qui lui permet de parcourir l’Europe à grands frais. Il effectue à partir de 1898, de longs voyages en Europe, devenant, à l’image de son héros Barnabooth, un homme « dont l’horizon s’étend bien au-delà de sa ville; qui connaît le monde et sa diversité ». RDRené Depestre
Écrivain haïtien né le 29 août 1926 à Jacmel (Haïti). Son enfance est marquée à la fois par la mort de son père, de graves soucis matériels et l'émerveillement que lui inspirent la mer, la nature et le surréalisme mystique de la vie en Haïti. À dix-neuf ans, il publie «Étincelles», son premier recueil, qui lui vaut un succès immédiat et lui permet de rencontrer de grands intellectuels, parmi lesquels André Breton et Aimé Césaire.
