John Keats was born on 31 October 1795 (probably), first child of Thomas Keats and Frances Jennings Keats, who had apparently eloped1. Everything was pretty ordinary for all concerned for a while--the Keatses had three more sons (George and Thomas, plus Edward who died as a baby) and one daughter, Frances, by 1803. That was also the year when John went away to school at Enfield. In 1804, John\'s father was killed in a fall from a horse. Just over two months later, for mysterious reasons, Frances remarried, to a London bank clerk named William Rawlings. Frances quickly decided she\'d made some sort of terrible error and left, taking nothing with her since the laws of the time decreed that all her property and even her children belonged to her husband. Frances\' mother, Alice, swept in and took custody of the children, but she could do nothing about the Swan and Hoop, which Rawlings sold immediately before disappearing. Percy Bysshe Shelley was born August 4, 1792, the first of seven children born to Timothy Shelley, a country squire who became a baronet in 1815 upon the death of his father, Sir Bysshe Shelley. Percy attended Sion House Academy from 1802-4 and then Eton, where the young intellectual and idealist encountered the public school system of \"fagging,\" in which upperclass boys tyrannized their juniors, who ran errands and acted as servants. Afterwards Shelley equated school with prison. Although University College, Oxford, where he enrolled in 1810, came as something of a relief, within a few months he was expelled along with his friend Thomas Jefferson Hogg for refusing to acknowledge or deny authorship of a pamphlet entitled The Necessity of Atheism. His father visited him in London after his expulsion, insisting that he renounce his friend Hogg and his beliefs, which included atheism, vegetarianism, free love, and political radicalism; Shelley refused. Li Po was born in central Asia. After his father moved the family back into China in 705, he started his poetic compositions. With mountains near his house, he found adventure and became a skilled swordsman and led a life of a knight-errant when he was older. Po traveled and married a daughter of a retired prime minister in 727, but soon went back to traveling the regions and neighboring countries around him. His most exciting travels were to the capital Ch’ang-an where he was presented to the emperor Hsuan-tsung and was showered with extravagant gifts. He was then appointed as a member of the Hanlin Academy and was lionized by fellow scholar-officials. The next travel he experienced was in 744. Jean Richepin, né à Médéa (Algérie) le 4 février 1849 et mort à Paris le 12 décembre 1926, est un poète, romancier et auteur dramatique français. Constantin Abăluță (n. 8 octombrie 1938, București) este un poet, prozator, critic, antologator și traducător român. Este diplomat în arhitectură (1961), pe care a practicat-o pâna în 1969. A debutat editorial ca poet în 1964. A mai scris și proză, teatru și dramatizări pentru radio. Într-o antologie publicată în anul 2000, Abăluță se descrie ca un poet al banalului. André du Bouchet, né à Paris le 7 mai 1924 et mort le 19 avril 2001 à Truinas (Drôme), est un poète français. André du Bouchet passe son enfance en France jusqu’à la débâcle de 1940 qui le jette sur les routes, avec le dictionnaire Bailly de grec sous le bras. Sa famille s’exile aux États-Unis où il passe son adolescence, et mène ses études à l’université d’Harvard, devenant même professeur d’anglais.
