Petre Stoica (n. 15 februarie 1931, Peciu Nou, județul Timiș - d. 21 martie 2009, Jimbolia, județul Timiș) este un poet, traducător, publicist, colecționar de presă și bibliofil român, considerat scriitorul cu cea mai mare longevitate literară. A fost unul dintre întemeietorii spirituali ai "generației 60" alături de Nichita Stănescu, Matei Călinescu, Mircea Ivănescu, Cezar Baltag, Modest Morariu, Vasile Gordu. A tradus în limba româna operele unor importanți scriitori germani, fiind autorul antologiilor ”Poezia germana modernă” (1967) si ”Poezia austriaca moderna” (în colaborare cu Maria Banuș - 1968). A participat la numeroase colocvii, congrese pe teme literare și la festivaluri internaționale de poezie ce au avut loc la: Frankfurt pe Main, Sonnerberg, Berlinul de Vest, Leipzig, Dusseldorf, Lindau, Manheim, Marburg, Viena, Graz, Lindabrum, Zagreb, Bled, Budapesta, Rotterdam, Moscova, Sofia etc... și e tradus în sârbă, germană, maghiară, slovacă. ABAloysius Bertrand
Louis-Jacques-Napoléon “Aloysius” Bertrand (20 April 1807 – 29 April 1841) was a French poet instrumental in the introduction of the prose poem into French literature and is credited with inspiring later Symbolist poets [1]. He wrote a collection of poems entitled Gaspard de la nuit, after which composer Maurice Ravel wrote a suite of the same name, based on the poems "Scarbo", "Ondine", and "Le Gibet". Bertrand was born in Ceva, Piedmont, Italy (then a part of Napoleonic France) and his family settled in Dijon in 1814. There he developed an interest in the Burgundian capital. His contributions to a local paper lead to recognition by Victor Hugo and Sainte-Beuve. He lived in Paris shortly with little success. He returned to Dijon and continued writing for local newspapers. Phaedrus, Gaius Julius (c.15 BC—c. AD 50), Thracian slave who came to Rome and became a freedman in the household of Augustus, the author (in Latin) of a collection of fables in five books containing some hundred stories, published probably in the thirties of the first century AD. There is also an appendix of another thirty-two fables, probably also by Phaedrus. The collection includes fables proper, a number of anecdotes (e.g. about Aesop, Socrates, and Menander), and defences of the author against detractors. The fables are based on those of Aesop and on beast-stories from other sources which had come to be attributed to Aesop. They are written in verse, in iambic senarii (see METRE, LATIN 2), and their object is two-fold, to give advice and to entertain. Louis McKee (born July 31, 1951, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania) has been a fixture of the Philadelphia poetry scene since the early 70s. He is the author of Schuylkill County (Wampeter, 1982), The True Speed of Things (Slash & Burn, 1984) and eleven other collections. Naomi Shihab Nye was born on March 12, 1952, in St. Louis, Missouri, to a Palestinian father and an American mother. During her high school years, she lived in Ramallah in Jordan, the Old City in Jerusalem, and San Antonio, Texas, where she later received her B.A. in English and world religions from Trinity University. Scriitor latin, de origine siriană. Autor de mimi (farse), care abundau în maxime morale (sententiae) foarte apreciate atât de contemporanii săi, cât și de posteritate. Engleză Publilius (less correctly Publius) Syrus, a Latin writer of maxims, flourished in the 1st century BC. He was a Syrian who was brought as a slave to Italy, but by his wit and talent he won the favor of his master, who freed and educated him. His mimes, in which he acted himself, had a great success in the provincial towns of Italy and at the games given by Caesar in 46 BC. Publilius was perhaps even more famous as an improviser, and received from Caesar himself the prize in a contest in which he vanquished all his competitors, including the celebrated Decimus Laberius. All that remains of his works is a collection of Sentences (Sententiae), a series of moral maxims in iambic and trochaic verse. This collection must have been made at a very early date, since it was known to Aulus Gellius in the 2nd century AD....

Nascut in anul 1993 intr-o familie care locuia intr-un satuc pe malul Prutului. De mic copil am fost motivat spre studii, pentru succesele de la scoala eram remunerat cu cartile din colectia veche a mamei. Indiferent de volumul de munca care exista zilnic prin jurul case taranesti, parintii mereu gaseau timp pentru a-mi oferi sprijinul necesar unui mic scolar. Am ambsolvit 9 clase la liceul teoretic Gh. Asachi din or. Ungheni, dupa care au urmat 4 ani la colegiu. In urma obtinerii diplomei de Contabil am fost admis la Facultatea de Calculatoare Informatica si Microelectronica din Chisinau unde studiez pana in prezent Informatica Aplicata. Pe langa facultate sunt implicat in unele proiecte ce tin de programarea Web. Imi petrec majoritatea timpului liber la biblioteca, locul unde ma relaxez si studiez lucruri noi care ma dezvolta ca personalitate.
