Bright moon that illuminates the earth;
Bright moon that chases away the dark.
You replace the sun; you reign the sky.
You come in the evening;
You leave in the morning.
Tonight I am sitting here waiting for you.
I will wait until you are luminous like last night.
But you don’t steal a glance at the earth.
You keep sitting behind the clouds.
Bright moon, are you angry?
Queen of the night, are you sad?
Give me, your friend, some words.
Who knows that I can mend your heart.
Queen of the night, listen to my request.
I would like to be part of your heart;
I would like to share the sadness of you.
Please let me be your protector.
I will never leave this place;
I will not move to another space;
I will wait until you appear.
You appear to answer my request with smile,
the sign of happiness.

Funan ameûsinet, ho mutô ka?
Feotnai neon afait, ho nekme nsusal ka?
Mukuaman ho aäm neu kau, ho aombiam.
