In this garden I walk among roses
With a picture of face in my memory
And I wish to ask the world
Why your shadow lives in me.
Not all of a sudden I declare the truth to you;
I clearly say it without delay.
Yes, I used to love you with all my heart.
Now I do ask you: please leave me!
Leave me in peace, o shadow!
Look, in the garden my sense of smell
Is taking me to the rose of all hopes.
Before her, my spirit dances.
