Deep Indian summer
overthrown on my naked drought.
You were perusing my lifelong canvas
in a ceaseless blink
- there went my stupid incongruity.
The time combed
its last dusty hair.
At long last
you whitewashed white elephants
on my kissing lips.
(*white elephants = a valuable possession whose upkeep is excessively expensive)
