Upheaving the Flood
1 min lectură·

Your open mouth flooded in me
another dictation interminably again, God
Only this time
my anchor pulled out a word
from thickening in Your saliva
don’t you go melting it along in my mouth
Look how I
Rip its scales and
Stretch its writhing flesh
upon your shores to dry
Do you see how I
Snatch its tongue
Enjoy the silent martyr.
Its detached, cleansed utterance
will rise to quench us one day again
In the name of the Holy Thirst
Amen
In case you haven’t noticed
I have just finished
baptising its last whispered will:
Noah.
