If you’re not worth it

Then I’m not

If you are nothing

Then I’m mud.

Swift our eyes

So you can see

That I am you

And you are me.

We’re born with scars

Of sacrifice

We’re born with hearts…

But I am stuck

While you are free

And you can be

The light in dirt.

I do not dare

To speak aloud

But have no doubt,

I know it’s you,

At heart you’re true.

Just let me wipe

The ugly scars

Of humanity

So you can sleep

So you can be
