Solitary angel

Return to me, I howl thy name
For now grey coldness wraps your grave,
I once wept cuddled at your chest,
Cradled between your wings had soothed my unrest…
But now white angel you are limp,
Your gracious figure is bedimmed,
The mould of scattered precious flesh,
Has turned our bud to crimson blush…
Yet here I linger to my death,
To love, to curse, my wings bereft,
For you shall be the love of mine,
Till dawn shall pierce the dark of time,
And you, my darling, you are bound…to me…
