with flooding clues to everything

and poets of wandering abysses

eyes wide open

fishing the poem in the post-mortem

to no avail.

Note: Even though an execution and a child birth can refer to any execution or child birth anywhere in the world, this here refers specifically to the execution of the former presidential couple on the 25th of December 1989, broadcast on TV a few days after. I have been haunted for sometime by the effects on the Romanian psyche and I still have not got any answers.
