Finding serenity in your surroundings

What a lovely way to start the day
blowing bubbles like a child,
watching as they drift away…
Listening to the birds as they sing
in the zone of my existence -
no cars that zoom, no phones to ring
Flowers blooming all around
bees buzzing about – ahhh
what a joyful sound!
Puppy’s chewing on his doggy bone
my constant little companion –
his love ever being shown
I thank God for this, my serenity
no place on Earth
would I rather be…
