Memories crowd my mind,
like a cup, filled to the rim
Bittersweet thoughts of what
should have been
images of him, only him
Days when I saw the world
through rose colored glasses
and thought it would all be okay
Now I know what the
truth really is
and I live with it, day after day
Why, I ask myself
did it have to be this way;
why can’t we be happy too?
Yet I know deep inside what the answer is -
happily ever after is for fairy tales
and dreams don\'t always come true...
