Heart’s Unfolded
Now the time of pain is here
for love lost, his regret
but one thing is very clear
pain may ebb but you don’t forget
And so a new chapter starts
with wonder, hope and tears
with cries from both and broken hearts
for all the long lost years
No one is perfect, as they say
and yet we all may think
that love taken for granted
will with the ship not sink
Promises empty, yet unspoken
how could it end like this?
Hearts unfolding, ever broken
Not eternity or bliss…
But hope abounds for you and me
in memories of times gone by
and one day maybe you will see
how much I really did try…
