back on the Found-Ling Pelican
a small parrot tattooed
on the crestless chest but with
two beaks and bronze spurs
the gorgeous belly splashed with 7 scars
but the hands carved for steering
in the shape of a wing and a crossbow
above its tough buffalo-tin mane
a forehead in blue graffiti and lavender
- only 3 greasy tresses fluttering
under the armpits and down the thighs
in fabulous days
the diesel obelisk lined with
aluminium edges
down lunch
the Grasshopper-Virgin descending on waters
