I never wanted to tell you a lie
but now I have to tell you good bye
you asked it to me, honey, and I have to go
I close my eyes and I want you to know
all my nights
were for you
all my dreams and hopes and feelings
were made to get me close to you
and now I leave and all my dreams
become a single empty shame
I stay deserted and I cry
while there is no one else to blame
I close my eyes and all I see
is how she takes you away from me
while in my bed a shadow takes your place
