Straying on the paths of the abyss
I make my narrow escape
from the world where reason was tyrant,
where feeling was pain and hope just a fake.
Dashing into the realm of chaos,
I pay my own tribute to lust -
forgetting that reason and feeling
are not overt symbols of trust.
And if I manage to steal from pain,
or conjure a Fury to drive thoughts away,
I still will be so much far from alone -
for hope is finally here to stay.
