Rise up (and walk)

One day you will hear Peter's word
it will resound like a long symphonic thunder, silencing
all the percussion instruments, in awe before
the first score on the soundtrack of
an epic film in which you will star, you'll feel
the earth's eyes widening, ready to swallow you, with
aurora borealis injected irises, and it will be as if
there'll be no more eyelashes, nothing to protect you from
the particles of spoken word, and it will be as if
there'll be no more pulse, nothing to time
your merging with the universe, it'll be like
the rivers will freeze in their beds, forgetting to flow, the mountains
will bow to one side, like humble helmets, volcanoes
will have a lump in their throats, only the valleys of your heart, like
snowdrops that defy the snowdrifts, will rise up
on their toes
