AVAgatha Vasiliu-Bacovia
Agatha Vasiliu-Bacovia, născută Grigorescu, este soția poetului George Bacovia, de asemenea poetă simbolistă minoră. Agatha Grigorescu-Bacovia s-a nascut in 1895, la Mizil. A avut o viata zbuciumata; orfana, nu si-a putut continua studiile. S-a instruit prin lectura. A fost functionara. Descoperindu-si darul de a face versuri, a lucrat la o revista literara. Abia la 23 de ani si-a inceput liceul, pe care l-a continuat cu Facultatea de Litere si Filosofie, absolvita in 1927. In 1928 s-a casatorit cu G. Bacovia. Agatha a debutat in literatura, la revista Scena, cu un poem in proza: Cand n-oi mai fi (1918). Peste un an, a mai publicat o poezie. Toata creatia ei poetica este o palida imitatie simbolista. Vicente García-Huidobro Fernández (January 10, 1893 – January 2, 1948) was a Chilean poet born to an aristocratic family. He was an exponent of the artistic movement called Creacionismo ("Creationism"), which held that a poet should bring life to the things he or she writes about, rather than just describe them. Huidobro was born into a wealthy family in Santiago. After spending his first years in Europe, he enrolled in a Jesuit secondary school in Santiago where he was expelled for using a ring, which he claimed, was for marriage. He studied literature at the University of Chile and published Ecos del alma (Soul's Echoes) in 1911, a work with modernist tendencies. He is one of the greatest poet of the Edo period, comparable with Matsuo Basho and Kobayashi Issa. He was born in Osaka, his real family name was Taniguchi. When he became 20 years old, he went to Edo and studied Haiku under Yahantei Soua. He named himself as Saicho. The master was gone when Buson was 27 years old, he stayed with Sunaoka Gando in Shimotuke. He had longing for Matsuo Basho, he began the long journeys like Basho, he went around Tohoku, Tango, Sanuki and so on. During this travel, he called himself Bushon.
