Gilbert Keith Chesterton was born in London, England on the 29th of May, 1874. Though he considered himself a mere \"rollicking journalist,\" he was actually a prolific and gifted writer in virtually every area of literature. A man of strong opinions and enormously talented at defending them, his exuberant personality nevertheless allowed him to maintain warm friendships with people-- such as George Bernard Shaw and H. G. Wells--with whom he vehemently disagreed. Chesterton had no difficulty standing up for what he believed. He was one of the few journalists to oppose the Boer War. His 1922 Eugenics and Other Evils attacked what was at that time the most progressive of all ideas, the idea that the human race could and should breed a superior version of itself. Obligati de probleme financiare acasa, raman singur cu sora mea - ai mei plecand in Italia, dupa care in 2005 ma alatur lor continuand din clasa a 10-a formarea mentalitatii si dezvoltarea gandirii, intr-un liceu stiintific pe langa Roma. Prietenos, realist, convins de egalitatea vietuitoarelor din natura continui sa fiu vegetarian si sa incerc sa ii conving pe altii sa mi se alature.

Nu prea știu ce fel de biografie. Profesor de sport. Facultatea de filosofie fără să profesez. Fără veleități și gusturi literare pînă tîrziu. Am citit și am început să scriu într-o criză existențială a tinereții. Totul, după cum s-a dovedit ulterior, cu certe efecte formative. Transfuzii de sînge si iluzii. Am cochetat fără convingere și cu publicistica. Am publicat sporadic în Viața Românească, Cuvîntul, Orizont, Dilema. Într-o vreme am citit și niște mici eseuri la radio România Cultural. Nu mă simt frustrat și nici nu cred că sînt vreo valoare inestimabilă, există destulă literatură bună de citit și fără mine, mi-ar plăcea însă acest joc care oricum e mai confortabil, poate și mai savuros. Cred mai mult în efectele scrisului asupra persoanei mele și încurajez, în ce mă privește, mai puțin veleitarismul literar. Percy attended Sion House Academy from 1802-4 and then Eton, where the young intellectual and idealist encountered the public school system of \"fagging,\" in which upperclass boys tyrannized their juniors, who ran errands and acted as servants. Afterwards Shelley equated school with prison.
