JFJames Elroy Flecker
James Elroy Flecker (5 November 1884 - 3 January 1915) was an English poet, novelist and playwright. As a poet he was most influenced by the Parnassian poets. He was born in London, and baptised Herman Elroy Flecker, later choosing to use the first name "James", either because he disliked the name "Herman" or to avoid confusion with his father. "Roy", as he was known to his family, was educated at Dean Close School, Cheltenham, where his father was headmaster, and Uppingham School. He studied at Trinity College, Oxford, and Caius College, Cambridge. While at Oxford he was greatly influenced by the last flowering of the Aesthetic movement there, under John Addington Symonds. From 1910 he was in the consular service, in the Eastern Mediterranean. He met Helle Skiadaressi on a ship to Athens, and married her in 1911. Nicanor Parra Sandoval (born in San Fabián de Alico, Chile on September 5, 1914) is a mathematician and poet often considered to be the most influential poet Chile has produced since Pablo Neruda.[citation needed] He describes himself as an "antipoet," due to his distaste for standard poetic pomp and function (after recitations he would exclaim Me retracto de todo lo dicho, or, "I take back everything I said"). Poet Selima Hill was born on 13 October 1945 in London, England and grew up in rural England and Wales. She read Moral Sciences at New Hall, Cambridge (1965-7). She regularly collaborates with artists and has worked on multimedia projects with the Royal Ballet, Welsh National Opera and BBC Bristol. She is a tutor at the Poetry School in London, and has taught creative writing in hospitals and prisons. Selima Hill won first prize in the 1988 Arvon Foundation/Observer International Poetry Competition for her long poem The Accumulation of Small Acts of Kindness, and her 1997 collection, Violet, was shortlisted for the Forward Poetry Prize (Best Poetry Collection of the Year), the T. S. Eliot Prize and the Whitbread Poetry Award. Her book of poetry, Bunny (2001), a series of poems about a young girl growing up in the 1950s, won the Whitbread Poetry Award. Selima Hill lives in Dorset. Her most recent book of poetry is The Hat (2008).

OPOdilon-Jean Périer
Odilon-Jean Périer est un poète belge d'expression française né à Bruxelles le 9 mars 1901 et mort à Bruxelles le 22 février 1928. De son vrai nom Jean Périer, il choisit le pseudonyme Jean-Odilon Périer pour éviter la confusion avec un acteur célèbre de son époque. Fils de banquier et petit-fils d'Albert Thys, il se destine d'abord au droit qu'il étudie à l'ULB. Poète des réalités simples et quotidiennes, il a également laissé un roman, Le Passage des anges (1926), dont le thème semble avoir été exploité dans Les Ailes du désir de Wim Wenders, et une pièce de théâtre, Les Indifférents (1925). Il meurt à l'âge de 27 ans et est enterré à Dalhem. Une fontaine a été érigée en son honneur, avenue Louise à Bruxelles. Alphonse Beauregard (1881-1924) est un poète québécois Né à La Patrie (Compton en Québec), Alphonse Beauregard doit abandonner ses études à la mort de son père. Il pratique alors divers métiers, tout en publiant des poèmes dès 1906 dans quelques journaux et revues (parfois sous pseudonyme de A. Chasseur). The Peruvian poet and novelist Antonio Cisneros was born in Lima in 1942 where, from 1960 to 1964, he studied literature at the »Catholic University«. Later he undertook a PhD at the »San Marcos University«. He had already begun to publish his poems with much success in his first few years as a student.
