NNovalis
Novalis (pe numele adevărat Friedrich Leopold von Hardenberg) (n. 2 mai 1772 - d. 25 martie 1801) a fost unul dintre cei mai mari poeți și prozatori germani, considerat cel mai de seamă reprezentant al Cercului romanticilor de la Jena. Influențat de Fichte, căruia i-a fost discipol, cultivă idealismul magic și extazul mistic. Friedrich von Hardenberg s-a născut într-o familie de nobili pe o moșie situată în Munții Harz (Saxonia), unde și-a petrecut copilăria. La început a studiat acasă sub îndrumarea lui Christian Daniel Erhard Schmid (1762-1812), apoi a urmat gimnaziul luteran din Eisleben, unde studiază retorica și literatura antică. În iunie 1794, își încheie studiile juridice, începute la Jena în 1790 și continuate la Leipzig și Wittenberg. În perioada studiilor superioare, audiază cursurile de istorie ale lui Friedrich Schiller, cu care ulterior stabilește relații strânse, întâlnește pe Johann Wolfgang von Goethe, Johann Gottfried von Herder, Jean Paul, Ludwig Tieck, Friedrich...

APAlexandru A. Philippide
2 martie 1900 se naste, la Iasi, Alexandru A. Philippide, fiul lui Alexandru I. Philippide (filolog cu renume și academician) si al Lucretiei. Debuteaza in revista " Insemnari Literare" cu poemul "Cintecul citorva". Un an mai tarziu debuteaza in proza. In 1922 apare volumul de poezii " Aur sterp" care include si poezia de debut. In 1942 vede lumina tiparului singurul volum de proza al scriitorului " Floarea din prapastie". Traduce in limba romana nume sonore ca Voltaire,Cehov si Novalis despre care spune "Am pastrat o dragoste statornica lui Novalis, iar romantismul german e pentru mine o gradina interioara a carei cheie intotdeauna ma voi feri s-o pierd". 1930 - 1945 colaborator la " Adevarul Literar si Artistic", " Viata Romaneasca", "Cuvantul Liber", "Gandirea", "Vremea", "Revista Fundatiilor" iar din 1945 si la "Victoria". Primeste Premiul de Stat pentru versiunea Romana a poemelor lui Lermontov. In 1968 apare volumul de eseuri " Scriitorul si arta lui" cu o prefata a autorului....

ACAntonio Cisneros
The Peruvian poet and novelist Antonio Cisneros was born in Lima in 1942 where, from 1960 to 1964, he studied literature at the »Catholic University«. Later he undertook a PhD at the »San Marcos University«. He had already begun to publish his poems with much success in his first few years as a student. His volume of poetry »Destierro« came out in 1961 and is now regarded as among the classics of Latin-American lyric poetry. Early on he was still very much influenced by the Anglo-American beat-literature and inspired by its ironic gestures and its every-day sound. Later he turned more noticeably to political issues in order, so he emphasizes, to counteract the increasing political indifference in Latin-American society. CFColin Forbes
Colin Forbes was the principal pseudonym of British novelist Raymond Harold Sawkins (born in Hampstead, London on 14 July 1923, died on 23 August 2006). Sawkins wrote over 40 books, mostly as Colin Forbes. He was most famous for his long-running series of thriller novels in which the principal character is Tweed, Deputy Director of the Secret Intelligence Service. Sawkins attended The Lower School of John Lyon in Harrow, London. At the age of 16 he started work as a sub-editor with a magazine and book publishing company. He served with the British Army in North Africa and the Middle East during World War II. Before his demobilisation he was attached to the Army Newspaper Unit in Rome.
