RORamón Ortega
(Comayagua, 1885 - Tegucigalpa, 1932) Poeta hondureño, uno de los principales representantes del modernismo en su país. Realizó estudios en Honduras y Guatemala. De regreso a su tierra se desempeñó como funcionario en la Administración del presidente Francisco Bertrand. Para algunos de sus críticos, Ortega como poeta ahogó el tono grandilocuente de sus predecesores e inició en Honduras el "predomino del raso y el marfil"; se le acusa de ser, en ciertos casos, un romántico arcaico, pero otros críticos lo ponen en duda. Su obra no es muy abundante, pero su exquisita factura suple ventajosamente la cantidad, pues la época de su producción fue realmente muy corta: en una edad muy temprana lo acometió cierto desequilibrio mental, sumiéndolo en una prematura esterilidad creativa. Kamo no Chomei
Kamo no Chomei- poet, critic și eseist de origine japoneză- a trăit în perioada de tranziție de le epoca Heian la peioada Kamakura. S-a născut într-o familie de preoți șintoiști, în Kyoto. Și-a început cariera de poet la curtea imperială. A fost numit de împăratul Go-Toba membru al Inaltului Birou de Poezie (Wakadoro), unde a excelat ca estetician și critic literar. In anul 1204 a devenit preot budist și s-a retras în muntele Ohara, iar în 1208 s-a mutat în muntele Hino (lângă Uji, la sud de Kyoto). Chomei și-a definit idealul de pustnic în lucrarea sa “Hojoki” (Insemnări din coliba mea, 1212), un “zuihitsu” (însemnări la întâmplare) care a devenit lucrare de referință în literatura japoneză. Opere: se remarcă în antologia Shin Kokinshu și în alte antologii imperiale Culegerea de versuri Kamo no Chomei Shu (1181) Mumyosho (Insemnări fără căpătâi, 1211) Hojoki (Insemnări din coliba mea, 1212)
