After earning a reputation as a fine guitarist in school bands like Emil and the Detectives, Richard had his first brush with ‘fame’ as a teenaged founding member of the 1960’s folk-rock pioneers, Fairport Convention. Playing an inventive musical mix of blues and California-style rock, the group was quickly dubbed “the new Jefferson Airplane”. The band’s founding members (Iain Matthews, Judy Dyble, Richard Thompson, Simon Nicol, Ashley Hutchings, Martin Lamble) were discovered playing in London’s Soho district, by American producer Joe Boyd. Boyd secured them a recording contract and their eponymous debut album was released in 1968. Shortly thereafter, the band’s lead vocalist, Judy Dyble, was replaced with the ethereal songstress, Sandy Denny. Sunt atatea evenimente, persoane, vorbe, zile relevante pentru ceea ce sunt eu astazi... bune, rele. In fine, am invatat ca sunt atatea lucruri gri pe lumea asta, incat ma feresc sa fiu bicolora. E mult prea riscant. De asemenea, as vrea sa evit sa ma definesc raportandu-ma la un anume lucru, prefer (macar pentru inceput) ca textele cuprinse pe acest site sa vorbeasca despre starile, gandurile, emotiile, reveriile mele. Si in final, despre mine.

Matsuo Basho
Poet, eseist si autor al unor povestiri de calatorie, Matsuo Basho(1644-1694) si-a adus indeosebi contributia la perfectionarea artei \"haikai\"-ului. Primele lui poezii dateaza din anul 1662, fiind caracterizate prin umor si aluzii fine la lucrarile clasicilor din epoca \"Heian\" si la drama \"No\". A scris sub o serie de alte pseudonime, cum ar fi \"Sobo\" sau \"Tosei\". A intreprins o serie de calatorii (Kyoto, Kashima, insula Honshu), in urma carora au rezultat mai mult culegeri de poezii si jurnale de calatorie. Born in New York City in 1946, Foster was raised in Los Angeles. After receiving a Bachelor\'s Degree in Political Science and a Master of Fine Arts in Cinema from UCLA (1968, l969) he spent two years as a copywriter for a small Studio City, Calif. advertising and public relations firm. His writing career began when August Derleth bought a long Lovecraftian letter of Foster\'s in 1968 and much to Foster\'s surprise, published it as a short story in Derleth\'s bi-annual magazine The Arkham Collector. Sales of short fiction to other magazines followed. His first attempt at a novel, The Tar-Aiym Krang, was bought by Betty Ballantine and published by Ballantine Books in 1972.
