Phoebe Pratten
Phoebe Pratten was born in Canberra Australia in 1975. At the age of three, she was diagnosed with Peripheral Neuropathy. By 14 she was not able to walk anymore, as the disease affected the muscles. At the same time she couldn\'t make use of her hands or her arms, so she needed to find different ways of holding the pen. Her interests include art, alternative health and writing poetry. The first collection of poetry \"Layers of Silence\" was published in 1999.

ICInga Clendinnen
Inga Vivienne Clendinnen AO (born 17 August 1934) is an Australian author and historian, anthropologist and academic. Born in Geelong, Victoria, Clendinnen graduated from the University of Melbourne in 1955 with a BA (Hons). She sporadically held the post of Senior Tutor of History there from 1955 to 1968, was a Lecturer at La Trobe University from 1969 to 1982, and was then a Senior Lecturer in History until 1989. Forced to curtail her academic activities due to contracting hepatitis, Clendinnen retained an association with La Trobe University while working on her memoir, Tiger's Eye. In 1999, she was invited to present the 40th annual Boyer Lectures. Her lectures were published in 2000 as True Stories. Al Zolynas was born in Austria of Lithuanian parents in 1945, and grew up in Sydney, Australia and Chicago, Illinois. He holds a PhD. in Creative Writing and Enlish from the University of Utah and was a Fulbright-Hays Fellow in India. Zolynas has worked as a kitchen helper, lifeguard, factory worker, cab driver, road construction worker, poetry editor, and resident poet in the schools, and currently teaches writing and literature at the United States International University in San Diego. He is also a longtime Zen student. He and his wife reside in Escondido, California. Joseph Jacobs (29 August 1854 - 30 January 1916) was a literary and Jewish historian. He was a writer for the Jewish Encyclopaedia and a notable folklorist, creating several noteworthy collections of fairy tales. Jacobs was born in Sydney,Australia, the son of John and Sarah Jacobs. He was educated at Sydney Grammar School and at the University of Sydney, where he won a scholarship for classics, mathematics and chemistry. He did not complete his studies in Sydney, but left for England at the age of 18 and entered St John's College, Cambridge. He graduated B.A. in 1876, and in 1877 studied at the University of Berlin. James Clavell (n. 10 octombrie 1924 - d. 7 septembrie 1994) a fost un romancier, scenarist și regizor de film, fost prizonier de război în al doilea război mondial, devenit celebru prin romanele Shogun și Tai-Pan, respectiv prin scenariile unor filme ca Marea Evadare și Domnului profesor, cu dragoste .
