La 10aprilie 1930, într-o căsuță simplă din comuna Micloșani, județul Muscel (azi, comuna Malu cu flori, județul Dâmbovița) se năștea, ca al treilea copil, Gheorghe, fiul lui Constantin Duță- Ștefan și al Mariei Duță. Copilăria și primii ani de școală s-au petrecut la Micloșani, într-un decor de basm. Fire sensibilă și talentată, Gheorghe Duță a manifestat de timpuriu o pronunțată înclinație către artă și literatură și sub ochiul atent al învățătorului Victorian Stănescu, a ”editat” la șapirograf, împreună cu alți colegi, o revistă școlară (”Aripioare”), care a fost trimisă prin țară și în capitală.
