I’ve spent all my heartbeats in waiting
For a moment with someone like you
And I see hope, the sun is rising:
You and I, forever old and new.
You smile the sun, I cry the moon.
It’s never day, it’s never night,
It’s always dusk and dawn and soon
We’ll walk together in the light.
This I have dreamt these last few hours:
Just you and me, my love, forever,
Lost in time, yet hope is ever ours:
Always apart, always together.
You can rain me hope or burn despair
You can make me live my life again
With just one word, whisper in the air:
Yes - a matter of if and, maybe, when.
