Poezie
The great unknown

Through countless autumns of my years beyond
Beneath this road I've travelled far too many miles
I do believe it's morning once again
As birds, they never lie
Their honest simple tune awaken me one final time
Rumble above, humble below,
Beloved bond of boldly earth and spirit
My name, it flies around from time to time
But alas, it is not me they're calling, looking for...
I feel them itching... crawling... burning...
Wasting me away,
And kissing me good morning one more time
I will not name them,
dreaded beasts,
that mock me in my bed so damp and cold
Who could it be, that softly treads above me?
My ray of red before the blue?
Oh yes my dear, for now I'm sure!
I feel your heartbeat through your steps...
I gather all my strength to whisper in a thousand tongues
In hope that maybe you would hear but one and understand:
I beg of you, milady, bend thy knee,
Upon above my heart and say a prayer for me
And this I vow,
with my last unholy breath:
To kiss the ground beneath you when you leave.
