Thick ivy embraces freezing trees,
to keep them warm in frosty winds
brushing through bare twigs,
restless, always moving on…
nervous thoughts like storms
circling in my mind,
racing, searching for something to do
destroy the old,
build the new,
find excitement and joy,
calm and peace finally
A fledgling, waiting in its nest,
eager to fly
and taste the freedom
tempting winds bring
with every caress
I pack my bags once more
to sail to unknown shores
