in memory of Star

Pain inside the heart,
physical, inevitable,
spasmodic bursts of tears
empty the pain
into buckets of regret
When the well slowly dries
you fall into the depth of sorrow
to gather that very last tear
and keep this precious pearl,
an eternal memory
of uncontrollable intensity;
a recipe against forgetting
