Paper heart

A sleepy moon gets up,
as I lie down alone again –
painful memories chat
in my head,
children -
in the sandbox of my mind
playing with past happiness;
building swimming castles,
illusions out of salt and sand
the sea greedily swallows in a wave length –
past desires on their way to forgetting,
heads hanging low,
silver bullets going through a paper heart
