Words lost in space and time,
words that don’t belong
anywhere, to anyone
hurry along the streets
with anxious faces…
words that hurt, words that kill,
words of love and tenderness,
words I don’t have
They hang in the air,
sad and lonely,
never written, never heard,
never remembered…
Frightened and tired,
nowhere to go, nowhere to rest…
I’m hunting them like stray dogs
remorseless, pitiless…
to find the rights amongst the wrongs,
to sort, to consume, to spit out…
They don’t know I will elevate them,
give them meaning, a home…
They are a present for you,
I hope you understand,
these stray words which...
like rare pearls I\'m fishing from the sea
