Love is a beast
it finds you
it hunts you
it brings you down
Love is a beast
it takes you
it breaks you
it devours you
Love is a beast
it tastes you
it wastes you
it spits you out
Like a cat it plays with your soul
if you follow its call
the promises you want to hear
are sweet lies in your ear
you know it feasts on your loneliness
tricks you with its tender caress
And then it kills you, slowly kills you
